Capital City Barbershop: Where Precision Meets Style in Oklahoma City

As someone who has had their fair share of subpar experiences at hair salons and barbershops, I approached my visit to Capital City Barbershop with a bit of anxiety. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the inviting and well-maintained atmosphere of the shop. The space was clean, organized, and tastefully decorated, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. The music playing in the background added to the pleasant ambiance without being overpowering. I had the pleasure of having Susan as my barber. Despite my limited knowledge of hair terminology, Susan was patient and attentive, taking the time to understand my preferences and guide me towards the perfect cut and length. Her expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process, and I felt confident in her ability to deliver the results I desired. The Result As Susan worked on my hair, I found myself appreciating the care and precision she put into every snip and trim. The end result was a haircut that exceeded my expectations. Susan had managed to create a style that not only suited my face shape and hair type but also reflected my personal taste. I left the barbershop feeling refreshed and confident in my new look. I will undoubtedly be returning to Capital City Barbershop for my future grooming needs and would highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a professional and satisfying haircut experience.

The first time Susan cut my hair, she told me I looked like a troll doll. (The attached photo is my before image.) It went down hill from there. Her ideas were COMPLETELY different from mine, and for some reason people started to actually compliment my hair. The facility is always eerily clean, and has pretty nice music playing. They're always willing to work with my schedule in an oddly respectful way. So if you want a place that will be hilariously honest with you and make you look better, I guess this is the place for you! Sometimes I miss looking like a troll.

I have had a fantastic barber/beard stylist for the last two years and just said goodbye as he moves out of state. Holidays are not an easy time to make a change from someone you know and trust to ???? when holiday events are happening. As I work in Uptown/Asian district in OkC and professional appearance is important to me, I looked for a highly rated shop with stylists also highly rated. I booked an appt with Taylor Hanna and was thoroughly impressed with both the interaction and the cut/style itself. He asked great questions at the beginning, kept track of everything I wanted, executed the cut and beard style perfectly, and was a great conversationalist throughout. Positive and professional throughout, he made it easy for me to decide I should come back next time, and I told him so before I left. Very glad I’ve found a new place for everything I seek in a shop, including a price commensurate with the level of quality and service I’ll get. Thank you, Taylor! And thanks, Capital City! I’ll be back in January.

I’ve been seeing Jake Phelps for 10 years, since I was a kid. Very attentive to what you want and always gets you right. Super calm, comfortable, laid back shop in a great part of town. I’ll never go anywhere else. This is THE BEST place to be for a cut, hands down.

My younger brother is staying with me during his college summer break and I sent him to Capital City Barber shop today for a haircut. He’s so picky about his hair, and we both agreed it’s the best haircut he’s ever had. He loved the whole experience and the end result was amazing! 10/10 recommend this awesome local business!

I have been getting my hair cut by Braxton for about 2 years now. Every single time, I walk out feeling great about my hair and happy from the pleasant conversation. Even though I've only worked directly with Braxton, I can tell the other folks are great just by the overall atmosphere of the room. It's incredibly easy to schedule on the website and I appreciate how I can quickly add my appointment to my Google calendar through their confirmation. Amazing barbershop with amazing people!

Always been told my hair is difficult to cut because of its weight and how straight it is, and its apparently true judging from the history of horrible haircuts I've received. I could tell from the moment we started discussing what I wanted that Taylor knew exactly what he was doing, and the way he cut my hair was completely new to me. Awesome cut and super cool guy. Gonna be a regular now. Highly recommend.
